September 13. I went to 7 feathers casino in Canyonville, 46 miles on I5 from Grants Pass. There was a fresh, smelly new layer of asphalt in the parking lot. "Almost" sticking on shoes.
January 20. First trip to the ER. She showed me how far was the wound from tibial bone. However, the wound is mm away from calcaneus and that she did not show me. She thought me how to pack the wound with mupirocin and Xeroform.
March 11 First visit with dr.Tomchack, a podiatrist. She used a portable doppler, was not sure about my posterior tibial artery and sent me to an ultrasound exam. During the ultrasound exam (at Legacy Meridian) the tech again could not find that artery and used that probe for minutes in that area. In the next days i saw a small lesion like a hardening on the surface of skin in the same area which disappeared weeks later. The results came normal on all 4 arteries and fingers (for waveform).
March 20 First visit to dr.Savaser. He did a quick doppler (as opposed to the one hour exam with recordings done by the tech). He said out of 4 arteries, the one she could not find right away does not have a triphasic wave form which means lower circulation (contradicting the result from the lab).
Later in the evening he called me at home wanting to send me for an MRI (which i requested earlier during the visit and was denied). I hesitated to go because of what i read online about possible heating the already damaged tissues (by microwave from wi-fi at my feet under the desk for so long), especially after the experience at the lab.
So i guess something happened between the thorough, recorded, ultrasound exam done by a tech and the quick exam done by doctor Savaser. I remember the tech at the end of the exam said "Thank you for letting us take care of you". Could she had damaged one or both calcaneal branches of that tibial artery which resulted in diminished flow in tibial, detected by dr.Savaser.
Diminished blood flow in the calcaneus bone could result in a number of things i do not wish to write about, making it prone to infection.
After the episode with forgetting my compression sock rolled under my knee, for the first time i started to have pains under the wound level, that is in the heel. They come and go, especially after i lay down.
Got chills if i do not take half augmentin (out of 875 mg) and half (250 mg) of Azithromycin, twice daily and to not cover the whole ankle and heel and half of the calf with Silvadene mixed with 50 mg of Amoxicilin powder.
Get intermittent pains if i stand or walk for more than one hour. I believe they all start in some barely visible lesions on calf above ankle that are painful to touch and do not heal, but can't be sure if it's not the other way around.
