Talking about non commercial and almost unknown musicians. Last Saturday in the car on Sammy Hagar count down (the good part of driving back home at that hour) being close to home and a quarter past dead tired i heard a funky base song that caught my attention because the base seemed to me done on the left side of a piano rather than on a base guitar and that's all that remained from the otherwise forgotten episode.
Today i remembered, found the song and played it. One of the best blues song i have (never) heard, also because of the base piano (or heavily slapped base), more dynamic than Hendrix's Cross Town Traffic, guitar bolder than Clapton's, voice less raspy than Cocker's, probably the source for Another one Bites the dust, etc..
