5:20 PM On December 15 i put a picture of a neighboring cat. I noticed many times in the past the cat entering under the balcony of the one level apartment.

A while ago i discovered the neighbor next door is feeding the stray cats. There are a number of trays on her porch always full with cat food. There was also a cat house. A number of cats from the neighborhood started to come and feed there. Then i saw a different cat going under that balcony. I figured it was stronger and bullied the first one out of there.

Then one day it was all stinking and i decided i should pick the leaves left behind by the landscapers for almost a month. For this purpose i bought a bag from Amazon, i already had a rack. After i gathered next to the other apartment i noticed a very bad smell i wrote about. Can't remember now but i believe the cat house was still there.

A few days ago i started to find the cat in the first picture sleeping on a piece of foam on our porch. First i moved the foam under a bush next to building and the cat moved there. Since i had this bag for picking leaves that resembled a tent, i thought maybe i should use it as a house for the poor cat, so i put the foam inside the bag and the bag under the bush. Last night was very cold. Today i didn't see the cat anymore and went and looked in the "tent". There was a very dense smoke outside but when i got inside in noticed the apartment filled with a smell of dirty laundry.

I know from experience that if someone leaves a piece of garbage, like a food wrap anywhere in the enclosed area behind our building, it all starts to smell.

Then i figured. The cat has a matted fur. It gave up licking (cleaning) self long time ago. The tent now stinks like ten homeless people put together. Just by going to look i brought that bacteria inside. Now my face is burning. Angela awoke. Everything stinks though i spent lots of time recently vacuuming, cleaning walls, doing laundry etc.. That cat is one of the big sources of problems around here.

Like in that day when i went to Indian Head casino and there was a homeless man in the bathroom. Though i just took a shower and changed all my clothes just before i drove there, the next day when i went to the ER i was stinking like hell.

I know they have cat shelters where they can at least wash it and give it back to me but i don't know if i'll survive long enough to contact them, make an appointment, borrow a trap, etc.. I think first thin i'm gonna do is move the "tent" under other bushes, but i know it won't stay there long. Tomorrow is landscape day and i know they will be very conscious and the cat will probably come back on my porch, after they remove the tent.

I know they have emergency numbers for people but they don't have for cats. Don't know what i'm gonna do, i'm in a bit of a crisis here.
The cat was living for years under that balcony.

8:55 Temperature outside. 45 degrees, typical for this time of the year. Humidity, 98%. It rains like it's the end of the world. Level of waters have risen by one inch.

After i finished the entry above, i was thinking. The cat did not run away when i last checked on it. I had a chance to either get rid of it or get rid of it simply by closing the lid on that bag. But for that, i needed some cooperation from authorities. Searched on google and found an emergency animal hospital in the area.

But for that i needed to call them. The guy from upstairs came home when i went to the computer to try again to make a google voice phone call. However, the mic quit working. I went to Angela's computer. The mic was working on Windows recorder but not on google voice.

Came back, now the computer would not display things on the monitor. Finally found the HDMI cable (i was on Display port, the cable that came with the computer). However i could not convince the thing to make a call so instead of calling (and expose myself to more microwaves) i just put the phone, wallet in my pocket and drove over there (a couple of miles i think).

Angela told me when she got home she got again a headlight warning on the display. I struggle for some time to make the low beam on left to work and last time it fell out of the headlight while i was driving to 7 feathers, projecting the light on the left concrete barrier after it got dark. Once there, i found beside the lamp was fallen, the connector i just soldered melted. But not in the soldering area. Then the connector became fused but still working with the new bulb.

But the warning this time was for the right low beam and Angela didn't realize that. Got two bulbs in the A locker today and wanted to cut the wires, resolder the left connector (the came in a pack of two), replace them both. However it rains like it's the end of the world.

But while i was driving i realized everything was slo-mo. Trouble keeping myself on the lane in the dark and rain, with little lane marking visibility. Got lost, finally found it.

So i got there and they gave me the number for animal control and after i insisted they gave the number for an emergency hospital that accept strays.

But in my way back here. Kept missing turns, got lost, found, lost again and then i realized. It was all from the smoke that came from outside. I always thought smoke comes from under that bush where the cat was now sleeping. Which could explain why the cat last time did not run away from me.

Got home, called that private clinic "that have a contract" "to accept strays" as the woman at the hospital said. Got into a conversation with an AI robot which however worked much better than customer service from India. She gave me a short assessment and said i should come with the cat (about 20 miles, 32 km) from here. However i was reluctant thinking i don't have two headlights and the one i have left could fail any second.

Went to check on the cat, thinking to move it with the tent under another bush, farther from here. I talked to Angela and asked her if she let me give the cat a bath and she declined. (what if the cat scratches me?)

However, the cat was not there anymore. I think the reason was the water levels raised all the way to the "floor" of the tent (picture above). Problem solved by itself. But how am i gonna know the cat would not come to sleep again in my balcony?

So i removed any piece of foam or plastic bag in a box from the balcony where she could sleep on (i don't think she likes to sleep on the wet, cold concrete). I took the tent and washed it in the tub. Had a couple of drinks, my head started to clear from the influence of that smoke.

Went to take the things i removed from balcony to the SW bin (the one accross is pretty full and like always there was a car with flashing lights in front of it). Passed the balcony of the one level apartment (last picture above) and felt the bad smell now coming from there.

Went to smoke a cigarette. A car stopped at the daycare?. Went in the back. The guys from upstairs left and shed their white LED headlights on me.
