In 2014 (at the beginnings of this blog) after a post where i shown my frustration about some of the public persons were looking like (Hungarian) an ex-colleague (or someone in his name) sent me the pictures which some i made myself or by someone else with my camera, and i did a post with the name of my HS as title showing the resemblance of some of them with known celebrities.
One of the teachers (chemistry) looked like Jane Fonda. She was speaking decent Romanian and did decent lessons of which some i even remember. She also spoke frequently about fashion and how actors benefitted from makeup artists and how the voice of singers benefitted from high quality microphones and processing.
One day in the summer of (let me think) 77 i guess, towards the end of the school year she came to me and started to ask me how come i did not have a girlfriend bla bla and she said i should took towards the little gees in the first year who could be an easy catch for me.
During the days of June and even before i was spending lots of time with 3 other guys from the class, also present in the picture, of which one was the great John Travolta himself at the public pool (behind the Unirii palace in Iași). There was an Olympic size pool and a smaller one.
The days after they changed the water were best (though water was coldest)(they did not have filter and stuff and hundreds of people were getting there every day)

So one late afternoon i was inside the Olympic pool next to a ladder. A tiny girl came and descended that ladder but then got surprised by the depth of the water and literally hanged on my neck.
I turned she was from the first year at Tehnoton and she became my two days girlfriend. The next day we went to a movie (Silver Streak) and in the Botanical Garden. Then i went home in Câmpulung, exchanged letters with her all summer long and in the fall at school she dumped me, saying it was her math teacher who prohibited the relationship. But now that i think i don't remember seeing her again and she left that HS at the end of that year.

I think it was less than a year ago when i figured who she was. The most iconic, recognizable Christmas singer in America, 10 years my senior, Karen Carpenter. She died in 1983 or four years later.
