3:45 PM Slept about 4 hours last night, about 5 hours at the car. The belt squeals when it's cold weather. I remember i once could replace the belt, when i replaced the alternator. Ok maybe not all the way. Back then i saw something at the tensioner and bought a new one. But the new one was the same. So i did not replaced it.

Now i bought a belt online and i had that tensioner and wanted to replace them both.

Trouble. I followed a video but the guy in the video had some pneumatic tool that shocks that T50 torx screw. What else can i say. It is stock in there. WD40 does not reach far enough. Could have some loctite on the thread. I broke two tools i just bought and nearly broke the screw, but it does not move.

So in the end i decided to just put the new belt in, to see what happens. Then i got two options. Buy and electric impact wrench. Go to a shop.

Trouble. There is very little space to work. The belt does a couple of S turns in there. I got a couple of tools, a long forceps and a little bamboo scratching hand with a screw perpendicular at one end. But you have to do it in a certain order.

And then the audience. They just move around, obviously with on other job but watch and taunt me.

By the time i figured what is the order i was so exhausted i could not stand next to the car. Total lack of exercise due to long inactivity due to the wound. Then when they figured, i wanted to go inside, they brought a helicopter, trying to suggest i left because of it. Since that did not work, they started a big fire up on the hill (south from here). I wanted to go back, but i think there is too much smoke. From time to time wind brings in poop smell.

BTW there was smoke when i started which smoke made me dizzy and everything slow motion, dropping tools (had to remove one wheel to retrieve one tool) etc.. Maybe that's why it took me so long and could not finish yet.

6:05 right before i came in an posted the above. A guy came with a German Shepard and peed right next to me. After i posted, i got hungry and tried to eat something. There was an open can with smoked fish that was very dry (not oily at all) and chocked with it.

Spent last half hour trying to vomit. I don't think i got rid of all of it but got better (no more pain at least). Went outside to finish the job. I put the belt last time in like 15 minutes but was not aligned right when the bolt head attached to the tensioner for the purpose of releasing tension got stripped.

Aluminum, 12 points, 17 mm, but is one mm less than 17 and the wrench was not grabbing it right. Now i was going to drill a hole in it so i can grab it with something to release tension to finish the job (align the belt). There is still smoke outside and the ice cream van is here, playing la cucaracha so i just got back inside.

In a way it's better in the dark cause i can see better with the flashlight in that narrow space, there is not so much contrast.

Ok i drank some tea and then some milk. Though it went down, i still feel like there's something in there. That kid that was yelling earlier like was slowly swallowed whole by a giant serpent started again to yell when that milk was making its way through my esophagus. I think it's got something to do with earlier, might have been a factor. He did that for about half hour before i came in.

There is still smoke coming out of that chimney.

8:00 When i started to drill that hole in that 12 points tensioner release bolt head (went easy, it is aluminum) a black car came next to mine. They when i started to pass a wire through that hole, about to pry it with a long stick, more people came and all started talking. They left when i was about done. It seemed to me like they came to pretend they helped me or even did it for me.

Once i pried the tensioner it was easy to first release the belt and then realigned it and apply tension again. It does not squeal anymore but it does a low rumbling noise which i believe is normal until it breaks in. The old belt had the surface hardened and shiny and was slipping. One day long and lots of lessons learned but smoke was a big factor. Smoke stopped not long before i went back inside and i do not feel that wasted aymore (because of it).
