3:24 PM My new gasket came in. It is even thinner than the (blue) Fel Pro. I decided to go with the "incompatible" and do it. Got to take the ignition coils first, there is one stripped nut at the ignition coil at nr.1, i can get it, then 20 screws (haven't count them), two sensors out, then the whole thing.

Then re-place the blue gasket, put it back, looking for "pinches" then the coils and the sensors. Should not last more than 30 minutes in total and already asked Angela to watch me.

But when i opened the door, first thing. Poop smell. So i went for those. A plane was on this time. Got back. The guy with the garage is now here, like always when i work at the car. Speaking Spanish with an Asian woman who also came to watch. Other people in the distance. But i will proceed cause it's gonna be the same if i wait and it's gonna dark and that don't help anybody.

Temperature is 58 again, like it's been in the last days. If it wasn't dark at 3:30 i couldn't say it's December 16.

6:58 Don't know how other engines are, but this one has a timing chain housing that meets under the valve cover with the engine head, resulting in a mating surface and a possible leak. There is a trick i saw in a video i thought it was optional. A couple of drops of ATV before putting the new gasket on. And then, i forgot (i got more that 7 women on my mind of course).

When i put it last time i saw there was ATV there and did not add some. I removed it today in the leaking area.

The new gasket did not mate perfectly with the old ATV.

No pinched gasket. My apologies. But how can i be sure it wasn't leaking at first and then messed with?

I made it very difficult because i dropped one of those special bolts in the fan's housing. Came inside, searched for the borescope camera to find it. At this car everything is crowded and if you drop something, then most likely won't find it easy.

Anyways. There was no need for new gasket. Got to order a tube of RTV (in only need a couple of drops), but this time i don't need to remove the cover. Just unscrew most of  the bolts and raise it a bit, keeping everything in place. The guy in the video added a lot, after squeezing the gasket some would have certainly got inside.

8:53 Went outside, tried to wipe a bit of the oil that leaked on many things near the engine but some people there made me very nervous. Every time i open the door there's a new car in theire. Some are flashing. Short guys are talking. While i had the hood open i saw the guys upstairs coming home and now they are dancing.

3:10 There was a big wind in the area about an hour ago that awoke Angela. An unhealthy tree has fallen covering a big area next to the battle zone. I found 2 cat poops buried in dry dust and 3 semi-open bags next to SW dumpster. There is also a freezer with meat still frozen in it next to that one. At the no dumping area there is a cat tree, other items.
