10:07 AM Last night at Ilani the parking lot was near full. I could find a spot near the main alley with bushes on the right and behind and a huge SUV on the left, with a less circulated alley in the back. I told Angela, i should not park it there, and then a more central spot opened but i was too lazy and i thought to myself, it may be too late already.
I few days ago i stated i wanted to check the battery connectors before i go to this trip today (200 miles, 7 feathers) because it seems voltage is not right by .1 volts (got a meter in a lighter plug).
I don't know if they did anything to the car but today i took it for a trip to see if the CAT is ok. A number of people got intentionally in my way. A white male kid about 14 kept waving at me.
It took more than a couple of minutes trip for the CAT to get hot (by smell) and then i remembered i had a scanner in the car (sleepy) so i plugged it in and it seems both oxygen sensors are malfunctioning. First is stuck at 0.8 volts and the second says -100%. CAT temperature is 1200 and 900 F.
Last time i used the scanner for a different reason so i didn't look at O2 sensors.
Outside it smells like open wall. I want to leave ASAP.
10:45 Last night i did reset the MPG indicator on the dashboard after Columbia bridge and the MPG at home was 45, exactly like last time, at a tire pressure of 36 and 98 gas. (The trip report shows always lower and is closer to reality at pump). The difference between that and with loose nuts soldered battery connectors (or using only the stock connectors) is up to 10%, probably for reason of fuel pump and other devices running smoother on better filtered DC pulsing voltage.
I would thing at that mpg the emissions are much lower (don't feel any smell at idle with my nose near the exhaust), even with bad 02 sensors but yeah, looking forward to replace those.
