8:30 AM It works! Though it takes up to one minute to build the index after i start the car  (which got me scared it won't work at first, would have been unmanageable with some sort of search capability), i can search in lists ordered alphabetically for artists and songs (6000+songs and 65 years of music!). Also quality of sound is surprisingly good for 128 kbps. I've done a good job with 20 bucks and a couple of hours of work.


6:55 Almost here. Got here, realized i didn't have my HDMI cable, went 3 miles back in time on I5 and grabbed one for 16 bucks at a Dollar General store. Isn't that supposed to be a dollar tree kinda store? Needed it just because i had this music on the PC too now. BTW i saw in the parking lot again the rented cistern and there is next to it a car with some sort of radio amateur type of antenna on it.
