12:45 PM Am dormit 4 ore.  Am citit știrile. Nu nene, eu nu joc poker la mese. Eu joc la păcănele. Pe 30-50 de cenți mâna, de obicei nu mai mult de 20 de dolari. Câteodată, mai arare, mai și câștig așa că bilanțul nu e prea fantastic de rău. Jocurile sunt mai mult ca sigur aranjate, nu e vorba de noroc.

Video poker are prea puțin de a face cu poker-ul de la mese. Nu există faza de "pariu", nu ai concurenți, pur și simplu oprești niște cărți și apoi apeși o tastă și ești plătit în funcție de ce ți-a intrat a doua oară.

Sunt mai multe versiuni, fiecare cu strategia ei, eu prefer deuces wild (2 sunt wild adică înlocuiesc orice carte), care plătește mai puțin dar își intră mai des, ca să nu mă plictisesc.

Teoretic, la deuces wild nu ai cum să pierzi, dacă nu greșești, însă jocurile în cazinouri nu sunt jocuri de noroc, sunt aranjate în totalitate. Cred că tipul a greșit aici, eu țineam toate cărțile de "diamond" fiindcă aveai potențial pentru un "straight flush" (chintă de culoare). Deuces Wild este mult diferit față de Jacks or Better, care sunt jocuri mai aproape de pokerul de la mese (fără concurenți).

Sunt anumite momente, în jur de ora 8 seara și 12 noaptea când lumea pleacă masiv acasă și se mai câștigă la unele mașini în tot cazinoul, inclusiv poker.

Urmăresc regulile de aici și greșesc foarte rar, dar mă plictisesc destul de repede.

Sunt și mese cu crupier (dealer) însă mi se pare absurd să joci poker sau 21 (Black Jack) la o masă cu o sută de camere video care îți pot vedea cărțile iar crupierul sau alți jucători pot avea microcăști în urechi sau urmări un ecran din sutele vizibile.

Mă gândeam mai devreme. Nu cred că restul omenirii are vreo șansă în viitor în fața acestor mongoli, cu versiunile lor. Au trăit în Australia (noongars) timp de zeci de mii de ani separați de restul omenirii și au ceva și în cultură și în genetică ce îi face foarte foarte agresivi și mai ales nu au morala noastră, deși au învățat să o mimeze și să o folosească în avantajul lor (mai catolici decât papa). Nimic nu îi va opri.

Mă uitam la vârtejurile tăiate în 4 de pe tobele șamanilor și mi-am amintit de o chestie.

Angela just told me that the HR manager (Mexican) told her the limitations cannot be given indefinitely and she has to go to the doctor to get a new letter. He also said he does not have the previous limitation letter on record "they don't keep records".

Trouble is her doctor who gave her that letter left (semi-retired) and her new primary care doctor one is a nurse Angela has never seen because she delegated her to somebody else. Angela told HR the old manager accepted the indefinite limitations, without asking her to bring new ones periodically.

I personally cannot understand how the risk of another hernia can get better in time.

In the end Angela gave him this letter and the supervisor told her he was going to start a new process sending a request to the doctor for evaluation, the same one the old HR manager done in October 2023.

Before i left i took a picture of that entrance where the kid went. The woman at first level built a whole shrine while i got a warning for two pieces of foam i left on the floor at the door. There is an unacceptable amounts of garbage behind that bin but i have to take that picture again cause it came too dark.

5:26 About 15 minutes ago. Was sick all morning. I smelled fresh poop from inside. Went to look, i saw the big woman dressed in black spandex with the small dog at the corner and came back inside. Went to check on the other side of the building and found two, flattened.

Took the glass bottles at the glass recycle. Took another look at the cats in the building east from here and the garages and saw they are actually not cats. During my raid, someone started a fire that smelled weird (on top of the existing smoke).

Angela asked me why the guy with the BMW starts the car at night. I told her i don't know, but at times he just starts the car, idle it for 10 minutes and then he doesn't go nowhere and in that moment he started it again.

6:20 When i was a kid in HS in vacations i used to chisel... tomb marble plates, for about maybe the equivalent of three bucks a letter today which took me i don't know, half hour a letter.

But one day the guy i was working for gave me a black granite plate. I could barely scratch it with my tools made of the hardest steel given by my father (actually chisels made of files). Now i know why. I am asking  myself like the guy in the video how could they cut that huge block of black granite (that was later vandalized).

Maybe some of the biggest machine tools and best cutting Swedish tools known today. Cause the tools would mostly wear out when surfacing from one end to another. Provided you can find and quarry a block of that size.

Diamond tipped tools. Water jet. Chemical erosion? That was possible. You could use a string made of some fiber soaked with sulfuric acid. Maybe.

10:20 A few days ago i was intrigued by the shape of some structures on top of New Yorker, as it was in the beginning. They might have changed, i don't know. The 2.2 MW power plant at the base of the hotel was powered with steam and for that to work it needed a source of energy, most likely heating oil but could have been gas or coal.

The exhaust was heating the entire hotel but in the end it needed a chimney and that structure could have been it. Or it had dual purpose. I don't know. Ok so since the heat was provided by the power plant, as a residual, increasing the efficiency of burning that fuel, it did not need much electricity except for lightning.

However. I can find a similar image on its today's logo.

Television came much later, in the 40s and that does not use much electricity either. Hot water, laundry could have been electrical, but 2 MW (about the same as one average wind turbine today) or 3 Tesla  S at peak.

So i was curious to see if in any old picture of the hotel there is a (smoking) chimney and i ran into lots of weird stuff.

11:05 So i ran into a video and then i saw the first skyscraper in the island of Manhattan. The Chrysler building and i saw it has lots of lotus motifs right on the spire. Lots of lotus petals. And then in the video i saw more buildings with lotus motifs. What's going on? Could it be all the different skyscrapers in the Island of Manhattan doing pretty much the same job and that being scraping of the sky?

Then a bit more forward in the video, what do i see?
