12:26

I was too lazy or maybe i thougt it was not worth to mention what also happened to me Saturday evening at Ilani. When we left, the left low beam went out. I went and fiddled with it a bit like i did last summer with the right and it started. But when Angela started the car Monday morning to go to work, i was in the door and i noticed the... right low beam now went out. The one that i "fixed" last summer.

So i drove her to work and then in the afternoon i bought two lamps thinking to replace them. While i was trying to replace the right one, by mistake i took both high beam out of their socket and by touching the headlight assembly the low beam was flickering. So i said to myself. It must be the connectors. So i sprang back the connectors and installed the new lamps anyways. But tonihgt the left one went out again and when i tried to fix it i broke the connector and possibly the lamp. Or it was broken waiting for me to touch it. Got two different connectors on both sides because i got two aftermarket headlights of two different types, the car has been in a collision twice before i bought it.

It was only then when i looked at the old lamps and saw they were worn out with parts of filament touching intermittently. Now i got to figure a connector for the left one. I tried to solder wires on the lamp but my old 28 years old soldering iron would not heat enough.

I found them on Amazon but it takes one more day so i'll try tomorow at NAPA.

1:07 I ordered on Amazon a soldering iron, two connectors and a lamp but they all come Thursday.

1:10 I am nauseated by the dog smell that came in here today. I'll try with ginger first.

1:44 Could not decide yet, is that an abstract whale or a shark on top of the new hotel at Ilani?

Done with...
Inside. Infinity columns, flying fish and Zeppelins (vertical and horizontal).

3:05 Today i got lucky again. I was sweeping the carpet in front of the couch with my electric sweeper when i caught a wire from a recent device i unpacked. So i turned it upside down only to see lots of hairs (Angela was complaining again of hair loss) but then i discovered the drawer was packed full of lint and other stuff like it was never cleaned since i bought it though Angela said she did recently. It was more stuff than i gather when i vacuum... once every few months!

It was also stinking very badly, because it had stuff from kitchen, especially when seeded with the bacteria bred from the overfilled bins with brown bags filled with garbage that have been rained upon. Then i started the ozone (Angela gets very irritated by it, me too) and aired for like 15 minutes wiht the wind blowing through the apartment. Later the apartement filled with dog poop smell. 3:57 Do i see red white and green on her hat?

5:30 My connectors came today. Made a temporary fix with twist on wire connectors. The connector on the left side was flickering for a long time and melted the plastic part and then got pushed inside when i installed the lamp. I can imagine it was visible and annoying people and as a result many came with out of adjustment or high beam headlights to teach me lessons.

The lamp i bought from Amazon yesterday and comes tomorrow is 6000K. Never heard of an incandescent bulb with 6000K. My only criteria was the price. Is it going to be white, like the LED ones? In this case i will have to buy another one for the right side to be the same. 6:15 I was thinking maybe they made 6000k incandescent to compete with LEDs but can't find any meaningful review. I will tell after i install it.

7:20 Don't know if anybody remembers when i said the last version of the catch can (actually it was not the last version, the last version has a lid in it to prevent the emulsion from splashing) was too good?

Because of the corrugated pipe that cools the blow by before it reaches the can, blow by gas condenses a lot more than with a hose. If there is water in the gasoline or due to something else i cannot figure right now, all that water is going to end in the catch can. Because it is water (with some oil on top) is is very fluid and it splashes at every bump and it pushes again oil in the out port of the can and in the intake, defying its purpose.

Thing is i got this problem every time i fuel at a station that is not one of my regular. Last time, it was Chevron at 217 and 99. Could it be they bring special gas (with no water) at the stations that i normally fuel at?

I believe any DIY-er could figure for him/herself the quality of their gasoline, if he/she installs one of these.

All it takes is a piece of inox corrugated pipe that comes in different lengths, with the two end nuts removed by cutting it with scissors, to prevent filings from forming, you don't want stainless steel filings like anything else in your engine (even washed thoroughly inside, because it is corrugated, it can retained filings it cut with a disk cutter), an actual catch can and a few oil resistant pieces of hoses (inches) to connect them together.

For the out port, you can use the old rubber pipe that goes normally from PCV to intake. The can usually comes with two different connectors, a 3/8 and a 5/8. This version is built so smart i can take it out and reconnect the stock hose that is now connected at the out port of the can to the PCV valve in about one minute.
